Day 61 Freakin Winter 3-7-2011

It's hard to wake up and feel upbeat when you see new snow (even just the two inches) on the ground in March. Anyone (well except the die hard snow mobilers) in the Twin Cities would tell you, it has been a long winter. Everyone, with few exceptions, would also tell you they are physically aching for spring. In some ways it almost makes it more difficult because you are surrounded by people feeling the same angst as you. The scowl on the faces around you shoveling once again. On the other hand it gives you a sense of community because you are all scowling in unison.

I do find myself searching for that one smiling face. And I found it last night.

Sitting with my grandmother (somewhat senile). She kept smiling at the "beautiful falling snowflake". Her words not mine! Then she says, "It doesn't snow here much." God Bless her!

It has snowed 76.8 inches so far this winter.

Love you Pama!
